These are the reported results of recent local restaurant inspections from the Fayette County Health Department:

SEPT. 25

Kentucky Fried Chicken, 342 W. Court Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed debris under racks in freezer, observed a build up of grease under fryer and on side of fryer.

McDonald’s, 280 S. Elm Street. Follow-up inspection. Violations/comments: Grill area is now clean, employees clean racks (under) in freezer, microwave is clean, creamer, orange juice and pop machine in clean, fryer area are clean, all violations corrected okay.

SEPT. 29

Fayette Memorial Hospital, 1430 Columbus Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed pastries for sale in reach of consumer without ingredients on label, facility is very clean.

OCT. 1

Bob Evans Farms, Llc 2002, 1800 U.S. 62 NE. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Scoop handle for sugar was in the product, paper towels were not present at the hand wash sink.

Mugs and Jugs, 1309 U.S. 35 SE. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: There is a build up of food under stove, shredded glass in beer cooler, dust build-up at standing beer cooler, the floor at the rear door is missing and needs to be covered with a material that is smooth and easily cleanable, sanitizing strips are needed at the three compartment sink to test proper strength of sanitizer.

Travel Center of America – Jeff East, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Restaurant – no violations at time of inspection (under construction and cleaned by employees), store – observed no ingredients listed for the donuts.

Bob Evans Farms Llc #288, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed a build-up of debris underneath grill area, observed build-up of debris under cappuccino machine.

The Warehouse, 313 S. Elm Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations noted at time of inspection.

OCT. 2

Our Place Restaurant, 827 E. Market Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: More date marking needs to take place throughout the establishment, Delfield reach in cooler was holding at 51 degrees food was removed, thorough cleaning needs to take place in these areas, 1.) paper towel dispenser and hand wash sink 2.) Wall under fan of accumulated dust 3.) Utensil drawer 4.) Delfield reach-in cooler at dining area and in kitchen, wiping cloths wet must be kept in a sanitizing solution when not in use.

Court House Manor, 555 N. Glenn Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Wiping cloths were observed lying on food contact surfaces, ice machine has some mold on inside and dirt on outside that needs cleaned.

Fayette County Jail, 113 E. Market Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed food in cooler without a proper date marking, labels have been ordered and will be in Tuesday, Oct. 5.

The Club at Quail Run, 703 St. Rt. 41 SW. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations noted at time of inspection.

Washington Band Boosters (New building), 306 Highland Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.
