The Washington Court House Municipal Court will be closed Monday due to the adverse weather conditions.

The Washington Municipal Court Probation Department shared the message on its Facebook page at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

The probation department’s normal operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. The Washington Municipal Court Probation Department telephone number is (740) 636-2352.

Fayette County is under a level one winter weather advisory.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a winter weather advisory for Fayette County and surrounding areas beginning 6 a.m. Monday.

The weather service reports that mixed precipitation of snow, sleet, and freezing rain in the forecast until 2 p.m. will make travel difficult.
