Renowned author to visit Liberty Hall

New York Times best-selling author Margaret Peterson Haddix will visit Liberty Hall on the Washington Court House City Schools high school/middle school campus on Monday, Nov. 20, according to Carnegie Public Library officials.

Haddix, a Fayette County native, will be discussing her current books and will also talk about upcoming new releases. Following the discussion, there will be plenty of time for questions, photos and autographs.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to arrive early in order to register for door prizes.

Books N’ More from Wilmington will be selling all of Haddix’s books that evening.

Haddix is the author of many critically-acclaimed young adult and middle grade novels, including The Missing series and the Shadow Children series. Haddix graduated from Miami Trace Local Schools and from Miami University of Ohio.

Growing up in Fayette County, Haddix was a frequent visitor of Carnegie Public Library. She worked for several years as a reporter for The Indianapolis News and taught at the Danville (Illinois) Area Community College. She lives with her family in Columbus.
