According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 21

Drug Abuse/Drug Paraphernalia: At 12:44 p.m., officers were called to Kennedy Avenue to check a male reported passed out in a vehicle. Upon arrival, they made contact with the male, identified as Stephen J. Pitts, who was found in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. Pitts was arrested for the offenses.

Theft: At 2:39 p.m., an employee of Kroger reported that a female selected merchandise and departed the store without paying for the items. The female, identified as Amanda S. Allen, was located and arrested for the theft offense and an outstanding bench warrant.

Burglary: At 3:25 p.m., Marlin Ellis reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into his residence and removed property.

Theft: At 8:06 p.m., an employee of Save-A-Lot reported that a female concealed merchandise in a purse and departed the store without paying for the items. The female was confronted by employees and left the merchandise, then fled the area on foot.

Sept. 20

Theft: At 7:55 a.m., Nicole Vanover reported that sometime overnight, unknown person(s) removed her bicycle from outside her room door at the Blue Stone Inn.

Theft: At 9:22 a.m., the owner of Duncan’s Express on Campbell Street reported that unknown person(s) have been putting trash in his dumpster without his permission.

Theft: At 6:49 p.m., Jeanie Rudd reported that unknown person(s) removed her EQuick child support card from her vehicle while it was parked on Pearl Street.

Sept. 19

Theft: At 9:12 a.m., Rocky Kimmey reported that unknown person(s) removed a 42-inch Craftsman snow plow from beside his shed.

Robbery: At 11:08 a.m., Jeremy Haines reported that a known person entered his residence, physically assaulted him and took property.

Theft: At 1:16 p.m., Carolyn Ruth reported that an unknown person obtained her bank account information and made fraudulent purchases.

Misuse of Credit Card/Receiving Stolen Property: At 7:12 p.m., Bryce Duncan reported his wallet and contents lost or stolen and that a credit card that was in the wallet was used by an unknown person at Pettit’s on East Court Street. Officers were able to view video of the transaction at Pettit’s and identified the offender. Timothy A. Brown was charged with the listed offenses.

Sept. 18

Larceny: At 10:30 a.m., Mary Cay West of 110 Newberry St. reported that sometime during the night, someone removed several yard decorations from her yard.

Larceny: At 1:52 p.m., Mark Wilt of 717 Oak St. reported that someone removed his fishing pole from the bed of his truck.

Inducing Panic: At 7:57 p.m., emergency personnel were called to 630 Clinton Ave. on a call of Michael W. Wheeler suffering from a drug overdose. Emergency personnel were able to revive Wheeler and charges were filed.
