A variety of carnival games could be seen along Court Street as workers set up trailers and prizes Thursday.

Food vendors were busy cleaning trailers or preparing a booth to house all of the necessities to serve a hungry community this weekend.

The streets of downtown Washington Court House, which is usually busy with traffic, were full of Scarecrow Festival preparations Thursday afternoon. Rides were being raised, booths were being set up and roads were blocked as organizers and vendors prepared for the weekend celebration. The festival will be held from Friday through Sunday.
