Multiple hearings held in Fayette County Court of Common Pleas

The following people were on the docket Monday in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas:

– James J. Howell, 20, of Bloomingburg, for a final pre-trial on two charges of aggravated robbery, first-degree felonies. The trial is scheduled for Sept. 28.

– Sean G. Hunt, 31, of Washington C.H., for a charge of receiving stolen property, fourth-degree felony. The final pretrial in the case was continued to Sept. 11.

– Erica M. Roe, 37, from Columbus, asked to withdraw a guilty plea Monday to charges of receiving stolen property, fifth-degree felony; theft, fifth-degree felony; and misuse of a credit card, third-degree misdemeanor. Roe had plead guilty to the charge but appeared in court with new counsel, and stated she did not understand the charges and requested to withdraw her plea. A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 16.

– Cathy D. Hoover, 56, from Washington C.H., was sentenced to two years of community control Monday after pleading guilty in June to a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (fentanyl), fifth-degree felony. Hoover’s attorney said she is currently undergoing intensive treatment at Fayette Recovery and the judge suspended a one-year prison sentence for the charge.

– Raymond P. Cumberledge, 56, from Somerset, Ky., plead guilty Monday to improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, fifth-degree felony. According to court testimony taken during Monday’s hearing, it was reported Cumberledge was driving under the influence “all over the roadway” on I-71 with a firearm in his vehicle. He plead guilty in April to the OVI in the Washington C.H. Municipal Court and was sentenced to 30 days of house arrest due to overcrowding in the jail, according to the municipal court. Sentencing is Oct. 23.

– Grant A. St. Clair, 31, of Washington C.H., for a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony. The final hearing in the case was continued to Sept. 11.

– Zebulon D. Workman, 37, of Bloomingburg, was scheduled Monday to appear for a hearing on a charge of improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony. The final hearing was re-scheduled for Sept. 11.

– Crystal Oates, 35, of Washington C.H., was scheduled for an informal pretrial hearing Monday on charges of possession of heroin, fifth-degree felony; possession of drug abuse instruments, second-degree misdemeanor; and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree misdemeanor. The hearing was changed to Sept. 28.

– Jeffrey C. Harmison, 23, of Washington C.H., is held in the Fayette County Jail on charges of rape, a first-degree felony, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, fourth-degree felony, and an informal pretrial hearing was scheduled on the case Monday. The next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25.
