The 71st-annual American Legion Auxiliary Buckeye Girls State session ended on Saturday, June 17. Nearly 900 young ladies from across the state of Ohio have had a week filled with campaigning, elections and running the city, county or state governments. They have shared in actively participating in BGS government activities and gained many new friendships.

Sponsored by American Legion Paul H. Hewey Post 25, the following girls were chosen to participate:

From Miami Trace:

Cassidy Tolliver was county commissioner for O’Connor City and Jillian Sollars was county treasurer for Jones City.

From Washington Court House:

Delaney Greer was city historian for Flowers City and Maria Pickerill was director of the environmental protection agency for Taft City.
