According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

July 10

Larceny/Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments: At 4:11 a.m., officers responded to Walmart on a call of shoplifters in the store. Officers found Thomas Ward and Macy Evans in possession of merchandise they had not purchased. Ward was found to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe. Charges were filed.

July 9

Domestic Violence/Aggravated Menacing: At 3:58 p.m., Rachel A. Ritchie, on 820 Highland Ave., Apt. 6C, reported being assaulted by her boyfriend, John A. Taylor. In addition, Taylor also threatened Levar A. Lewis at the residence. Charges were filed.

July 8

Violate Protection Order: At 1:12 p.m., Robert Hawkins reported he’s received numerous text messages and pictures from a known female that he currently has a protection order against. The female, identified as April Lee Hawkins, was arrested for the offense.

Theft: At 7:36 p.m., an employee of TSC reported that an unknown male removed a pair of boots from the store without paying for them. Investigation into the male’s identity continues.

Theft/Obstructing Official Business/Possession Criminal Tools: At 8:47 p.m., officers were called to TSC on a theft complaint where the male had removed merchandise from the store and fled the area on a bicycle. The male was located by officers and after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody and property was recovered. The male, identified as Clifford D. Morris, was charged with the listed offenses.
