The Village of Jeffersonville celebrated the Fourth of July with events throughout the evening hours, including a fireworks display at dusk. An injury on the scene of the fireworks launch site later in the evening brought an abrupt end to the display.

Community leaders, village residents and others took time to be involved. The Fayette County Republicans waved to the onlookers during the parade.

The Jeffersonville Lions Club sponsored the fireworks display and took part in the parade to help the village properly celebrate the nation’s independence.

The community enjoyed a day full of festivities in Jeffersonville including a block party and parade in the evening.

The Jeffersonville Volunteer Fire Department, Fayette County EMS, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and other local emergency responders were also a part of the parade by blaring horns and flashing lights for the crowd.

Leading the parade was Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth and his wife Joy.

Children were invited to ride on bicycles.

Even residents got involved in the parade and showed off some unique floats.
