Fayette County’s Toast to Summer and Hot Air Balloon Glow

The third-annual Fayette County Toast to Summer and Hot Air Balloon Glow was held Saturday at the airport with a large crowd turning out to enjoy wonderful weather and a large variety of vendors, wineries and entertainment.


Wineries from all over Ohio attended the Toast to Summer and patrons could purchase wine tasting tickets to sample the many types.


William D. Roller, author and illustrator, sold copies of his books and demonstrated his talents with caricature art and fake tattoos.


Bi-plane rides were offered throughout the day during the Toast to Summer.


The Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities helped sell artwork by adults with disabilities.


Author Carolyn Shotsky talked to patrons about her book Alice Mavery: A Question of Valor, as well as many other topics on God and veterans.


The Washington Shrine Club showed off the first prize for an upcoming raffle, a 2009 Harley Davidson Street Bob, during the Toast to Summer.


Paul Blankenship performed several songs for the crowd as part of the live musical entertainment.
