The Miami Trace Local School District recently announced that the Miami Trace Preschool Program received a “5 Star rating” during their first Step Up to Quality evaluation conducted in the spring of 2017.

Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is a five–star quality rating system administered by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) that recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality benchmarks over and above minimum health and safety licensing standards. The steps are based on national research identifying the program standards that lead to improved outcomes for children.

The Miami Trace Preschool is a five-day a week program. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and it serves students who are 4- and 5-years-old. The program is housed in the Miami Trace Elementary School.

Miami Trace Preschool staff has over 50 years of combined early childhood teaching experience. It offers a state-approved curriculum that is aligned with the Ohio Early Learning Standards.
