The Fayette County Health Department completed the following inspections, according to reports:

MAY 5

Fayette Christian School, 1315 Dayton Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, kitchen supervisor has the level two managers certification, facility has norovirus plan in place.

Starting Gate, 1351 Leesburg Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, operations manager has level two manager certification, facility has norovirus plan in place.

MAY 8

Belle Aire Elementary School, 1120 High Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, norovirus plan in place, recommend facility move to a class three next year due to heating process.

Love’s Travel Shop, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Sink at the hard kitchen remains out of compliance, the splash guard needs to be smooth and easily cleanable, breakfast sandwiches are back to proper hot holding temperature.

MAY 9

Aldis #48, 200 Commercial Drive. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Store needs to create a barrier between the chicken and beef to help prevent possible cross contamination.

Dollar Tree Store, 140 Crossing Drive. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Washington Middle School, 500 S. Elm Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, norovirus plan in place, ingredients upon request.

MAY 10

Miami Trace High School, 3722 State Route 41 NW. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, warmer door has been repaired, norovirus plan in place, facility needs to get level two manager certification.

Pettit’s Drive Thru, 1101 Clinton Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Wal Mart Distribution center, 1400 Old Chillicothe Road. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: A thermometer is needed for the true reach in cooler to properly measure temperature, a trash can must be available for the hand wash sink, freezer was found in utility room.

United Dairy Farmers, 1710 Columbus Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Save-A-Cent, 124 N. Fayette St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Some dented cans were observed and disposed of.

MAY 11

D. Donatos Pizza, 1211 Columbus Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Moulding at walk-in cooler freezer is no longer smooth and easily cleanable.

Starlight Pizza, Bloomingburg. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

Don & Marty’s Pizza, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

Domino’s Pizza, 60 Washington Sq. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

MAY 12

Jones Farm Fresh Produce, Farmers Market. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

MAY 16

Washington Senior High School, 400 S. Elm St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendation at time of inspection, norovirus plan in place, facility has manager level two certification.

MAY 26

Back-En-Thyme Flower, 101 E. Court St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

BB’s Cakes and More, 149 N. Main St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: These areas need cleaning: both floors in storage area and bakery and push cart, all food storage must be six inches above the floor to allow for easier cleaning, moist wiping cloth was observed lying on counter, need to have a utensil rack to properly dry dishes and utensils.

Atkinson’s Bakery, 210 W. Elm St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Cleaning needs to take place in these areas: Kenmore cooler, grease vent hood and Federal cooler, some evidence of mice seen in back.

JUNE 2

Dollar General, 1821 Columbus Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Dairy cooler has an accumulation of dust and grime on the fan guard and shelves. These areas need frequent cleaning to avoid possible contamination.

Mobil #1104, 1104 Columbus Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

Flagway #10, 810 Highland Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Shelves in walk-in cooler needs cleaned of accumulated dust to reduce chance of contamination, also ceiling of walk in cooler dust and grime.

Court House Corner, 1106 Washington Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Unwashed pizza cutter being stored at room temperature not being use for some time, Coke reach in cooler has a build up of dust on fan guard, cardboard is on shelves in walk in cooler, light intensity in walk in cooler needs to be increased.
