Community Improvement Corporation of Washington Court House accepts land parcel in January meeting

The minutes from the Jan. 18 Community Improvement Corporation meeting have been provided for review.

Roll call showed that those present for the meeting were Dave Morrow, president, Kim Bonnell, vice president, Whitney Gentry, secretary, and members Tony Anderson, Godwin Apaliyah, Dan Dean, Tim Fogt, Steve Jennings, Steve Luebbe, Dale Lynch, and Gamma White.

The agenda for the January meeting included four motions that were each passed by unanimous voice vote. The first motion approved the minutes from the December meeting. The second motion noted the treasurer’s report and moved to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Treasurer Joseph Denen was not in attendance at the meeting, according to the roll call.

The third motion approved of a $187 payment to be made to CNA Insurance. In the final motion of the meeting, permission was granted that the Community Improvement Corporation will accept Parcel #21301800300401.

According to the minutes there was no old business, new business, or reports from trustees, committees, or officers discussed during the meeting.

The Community Improvement Corporation of Washington Court House is a nonprofit corporation that was established in 1964 in Fayette County.

Its articles of incorporation filed with the Ohio Secretary of State declare that the purpose of the nonprofit corporation is to advance, encourage and promote the industrial, economic, commercial and civic development of Washington C.H. and Fayette County in whatever way and by such means as will improve the normal growth, assist in development of, and advance the industrial and commercial life of the community to stabilize the general economy of the area.

Meetings are open to the public and held the third Wednesday of each month at 3:15 p.m. in the Center for Economic Opportunity in Washington C.H.
