The Fayette County 4-H FCS Board would like to invite 4-H eligible youth to attend the Cooking and Sewing Fun Night on Friday, March 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Agricultural Center meeting room, 1415 U.S. Route 22 SW in Washington Court House (or Extension Office). The cost is $4 which includes materials and pizza for the evening.

Participants will have the choice of learning to sew something or learning how to cook using two recipes. Those sewing will learn how to use the sewing machine and will make a pillow or a doll dress for an 18-inch doll.

Those choosing to cook will learn how to measure ingredients correctly and read a recipe. They will make trail mix and either bean salsa or nachos.

Those interested must make a reservation to attend. Please call 740-335-1150 to make a reservation by March 2.

The 4-H FCS Board hopes to encourage interest in 4-H projects, such as nutrition, clothing, and special interest projects. The board also wants to help those taking these projects to improve their skills. The 4-H FCS Board will be helping youth at the Cooking and Sewing Fun Night.

Those on the 2017 4-H FCS Board are Clare Sollars, Anna Robinson, Therese Robinson, Victoria Schappacher, Victoria Waits, Trevor Minyo, Laura Robinson, Abbie Brandt, Hidy Kirkpatrick and Eva Smalley.

All 4-H-aged youth are invited to come and join us on March 3 to learn to cook or sew. Call 740-335-1150 to make a reservation.
