The Fayette County Health Department completed the following inspections, according to reports:

JAN. 17

El Canon, 1381 Leesburg Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Wet wiping cloth observed lying on surface, all food must be properly date marked seven days from preparation, ice scoop handles were lying in ice, hand wash sink was cluttered with boxes, hand wash sink at bar area needs soap to encourage hand washing, need sanitizing test strips to test sanitizer levels.

LeElla Lanes, 1428 U.S. 22. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Some items such as chopped ham were not properly date marked, date mark all prepared food seven days from preparation to limit contamination.

Grace United Methodist, 301 E. Market Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

JAN. 18

Prime Meats & Deli, 240 W. East St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendation at this time.

BB’s Cakes & More, 149 N. Main St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at time of inspection.

Fayette County Early Learning Center, 1400 U.S. 22. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Pizza Hut/Popeye’s Chicken, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

JAN. 19

Our Place, 827 E. Market St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Dish washer was not dispensing sanitizer, staff needs to be reminded to hit sanitizer button to prime the tube this was collected during the inspection, these areas need cleaned of dust and mold – pop dispenser, shelf near serving counter and dust on fan of Delfield reach-in cooler and dust above the doors of the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer – this was corrected during inspection, several wiping cloths were observed lying on surfaces, when not in use keep wiping cloths stored in a sanitizing solution to limit spread of contamination.

Fayette Progressive Industry, 1330 Robinson Road. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

Signature Health Care, 375 Glenn Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Several food items in walk-in cooler have exceeded the seven day limit and need to be disposed of this will limit spread of bacteria.

St. Catherine’s, 250 Glenn Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

JAN. 23

Rachel’s House Catering, 3634 St. Rt. 41 NW. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at this time.

JAN. 24

Wendy’s, 530 Clinton Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

VFW – 3762, 335 Veterans Way. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

Taco Bell, 1215 Columbus Avenue. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Scissors were found being stored with some food residue and accumulation.

JAN. 25

Travel Center of America, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Chlorine levels were to high at dish washer, sausage gravy was measured at 90 degrees in walk-in cooler, after two hours time temperature controlled food needs to be cooled to 70 degrees, ice scoop was observed with handle in ice.
