Several arraigned Monday in Common Pleas Court

The following people were arraigned Monday, Jan. 23 in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas.

— Samantha R. Williams, 43, of West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, was arraigned Monday on seven drug-related felony charges. Williams was indicted Jan. 20 on aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth degree, trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in drugs, both felonies of the fifth degree, two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felonies, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. The charges are reportedly from a Jan. 5 traffic stop in Washington C.H.

Williams is scheduled for an informal pre-trial hearing Feb. 27 in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas. According to court records, Williams served a one year prison term for a 2014 conviction on two charges. The records indicate Williams served six months in prison for pleading guilty to one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony and was sentenced to six months in prison for one count of failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, after she didn’t show up at the sentencing hearing for the possession of heroin charge.

— Casey A. Skaggs, 26, of Eastern Avenue, Washington C.H., was arraigned Monday on one felony charge and two misdemeanor charges. Skaggs was indicted Jan. 20 on one count of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of permitting drug abuse, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Skaggs is scheduled for an informal pretrial hearing in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Feb. 16. According to court records, Skaggs served a prior prison term after she violated the terms of probation that were ordered in a 2011 sentence for non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony.

— Tuesday A. Toner, of Paint Street, Washington C.H. was arraigned Monday on one felony charge and two misdemeanor charges. Toner was indicted Jan. 20 on one count of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of permitting drug abuse, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Toner is scheduled for an informal pretrial hearing Feb. 6.

— Heidi N. Rumer, 36, of East Welch Street, Columbus, was arraigned Monday on one felony charge. Rumer was indicted July 22, 2016 on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Rumer is scheduled for an informal pretrial hearing March 6 in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas.

— John Thompson, 28, of Westfall Road, South Salem, was arraigned Monday on one felony charge. Thompson was indicted March 18, 2016 for non-support of dependents, a felony of the fifth degree. An informal pretrial hearing is scheduled to take place March 6 in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas.

— Jeffrey D. Ell, 35, of East Lincoln Avenue, Columbus, was arraigned Monday on one felony charge. Ell was indicted Jan. 20 for having weapons under disability, a felony of the third degree. Ell is scheduled for an informal pretrial Feb. 27 in the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas. According to court records, Ell was sentenced to five years in prison in 2009 after he was indicted on charges of kidnapping, abduction, and felonious assault.
