The Fayette County Health Department completed the following inspections, according to reports:

JAN. 6

Speedway, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Sesame Inc. Wok N Roll, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Walk in cooler is now clean, racks have been cleaned off and food is off the floor, grill area is now clean, grill hoods have been cleaned.

RC Race, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Observed debris in pop machine and General Electric cooler.

Washington C.H. Save-A-Lot, 1151 Columbus Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Fried chicken, beef Stroganoff and mashed potatoes were being held hot at 120 degrees to 130 degrees. I instructed management to use time in lieu of temperature until unit is corrected, tongs with food residue were being stored at fm to mp, dust on fans in the walk-in cooler needs to be wiped clean of accumulated dust.

Washington C.H. Save-A-Lot, 1151 Columbus Ave. Standard/follow-up inspection. Violations/comments: All issues have been addressed.

JAN. 9

220 State St. Inc, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection.

Fayette County Early Learning Center, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspections, head cook has her level 2 certification.

Fayette County Commission on Aging, 1179 S. Elm St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

Four Seasons, 201 Courthouse Parkway. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

JAN. 10

Sunny Maple, 5675 U.S. 62. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Staff informed they clean slicers once a day – corrected during inspection needs to be every four hours, cold cuts, lunch meat and cheeses must be date marked seven days from preparation or when the seal is broken to prevent spread of contamination.

Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations at time of inspection, facility should be changed to level two for 2017 or no license, not using kitchen anymore.

Center Pizza, 23 Fayette Center. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

JAN. 11

El Dorado Mexican Restaurant, 220 Washington Square. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Time temperature control foods need to be date marked seven days from preparation, no food in the walk-in cooler was properly date marked, glass cleaner was being stored above canned food – corrected during inspection, the following areas need installation of FRP Fiberglass reinforced paneling: the hand wash sink room adjacent to serving counter and the shed behind the store storing the beans and rice, the floor needs tile laid down under the hand wash sink, moulding and wall need repaired at the dish wash sink and near the serving counter, owner has 60 days to complete necessary repairs.

Country Cakes and Bakes, New Holland. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No violations noted at time of inspection.

Hong Kong Buffet, 1142 Columbus. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

JAN. 13

Two Scoops of Sugar, 249 E. Court St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Pilot Travel Center, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Chicken was temping at 120 degrees – must be held hot at 135 degrees – chicken was disposed of, there was an accumulation of dust on fans that need cleaned with a sanitary cloth to prevent contamination of food.

BPO Elks, 277 S. Main St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Need a working thermometer for the walk-in cooler to monitor proper cold holding temperature at 41 degrees or colder.

Demented Bar & Grill, 618 Rose Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

JAN. 17

El Canon, 1381 Leesburg Ave. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Wet wiping cloth observed lying on surface, ice scoop handles were lying in ice, hand wash sink was cluttered with boxes, hand wash sink at bar area needs soap to encourage hand washing, need sanitizing test strips to test sanitizer levels.

LeElla Lanes, 1428 U.S. 22 N.W. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Some items such as chopped ham were not properly date marked.

Grace United Methodist, 301 E. Market Street. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

BB’s Cakes and More, 149 N. Main St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at time of inspection.

Prime Meats & Deli, 240 W. East St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory, no recommendations at this time.

Fayette County Early Learning Center, 1400 U.S. 22. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Operation satisfactory.

Pizza Hut Popeye’s Chicken, Jeffersonville. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: No recommendations at this time.

JAN. 19

Our Place, 827 E. Market St. Standard inspection. Violations/comments: Dish washer was not dispensing sanitizer, staff needs to be reminded to “hit” sanitizer button to prime the tube this was collected during the inspection, these areas need cleaned of dust and mold, pop dispensers shelf near serving counter and dust on fan of Delfield reach-in cooler and dust above the doors of the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, this was corrected during inspection, several wiping cloths were observed lying on surfaces, when not in use, keep wiping cloths stored in a sanitizing solution.
