Compassionate Friends to hold candlelight service Sunday

0

This Sunday, Dec. 11, The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting will unite family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon.

As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor the memory of all children gone too soon. TCF’s WCL started in the United States in 1997 as a small internet observance, but has since swelled in numbers as word has spread throughout the world of the remembrance of children who have died, but will never be forgotten.

The Compassionate Friends of Fayette County will be having their fourth-annual candle lighting ceremony in memory of our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and grandchildren on Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The candle light service will be held at 1510 Columbus Ave., Washington C.H. on the Fayette County Memorial Hospital campus.

Please send the names you would like included this year for the service to [email protected] or call Pam Melvin at 740-490-8393.
