FCMH welcomes new doctor

Fayette County Memorial Hospital has added a new osteopathic doctor to its team.

Dr. Brian Jenks is a graduate of Miami Trace High School and the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Jenks is American Osteopathic Association Board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment. Jenks recently completed his residency in Osteopathic Family Practice and Manipulative Treatment at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Osteopathic medicine is a “whole person” approach to medicine — instead of just treating a person for a specific symptom or illnesses, the physician regards the patient’s body as an integrated whole and focuses on preventive health care.

“I’m excited to return to my community after years away and serve as a physician,” Jenks said.

Jenks is located in Medical Arts Building 2, Suite 230, and is welcoming new patients of all ages from children to the elderly.

To schedule an appointment, call (740) 333-3333.
