Charles Forest Milstead served in the U.S. Army from April 7, 1943 to Dec. 18, 1945. He served in the European Theater of Operation seeing action in Germany, France, England, Austria, and Belgium. Milstead said “Do your duty, respect your flag and country.” He also spoke about the benefits he gained from serving our country: “Appreciation of our flag, our freedom, our country and the price we paid to keep it.”
