The Bus Excursions LLC was welcomed into the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce at a recent ribbon cutting.
The Bus Excursions, owned by local native Randy Newland, is a transportation company offering passengers a “party” bus/limo atmosphere. The Bus can accommodate travel needs so that the group can ride together safely. There is a cooler on board for beverages, perimeter-type seating and an advanced music system to play whatever the client may request.
Newland said his customer needs vary and he has traveled to all types of sporting events, concerts, casinos, company events, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor(ette) parties, holiday and retirement parties, proms, homecomings, shopping/winery trips, amusement parks, community events, wedding shuttles, etc. The Bus Excursions currently has one bus that accommodates 12 passengers and will soon expand to include a 30 passenger motor coach bus.
Newland moved back to this area after living in Indiana for several years when he started a construction business that he still operates in Washington CH. He has over 20 years of experience in the home remodeling/construction trade and enjoyed transforming the buses.
Newland said, “As I have always been able to enjoy all of my adventures, I initially ventured in to this new line of business as a hobby and as a way of bringing all people together.” It has grown to much more than a hobby and Newland is looking forward to the expansion. Randy is very active with charity events and gives back to the community as much as possible.
