Tanger Outlets in Jeffersonville kicked-off their annual PinkSTYLE campaign with an opening reception happy hour with program beneficiary, the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation Women’s Wellness Center, and honored survivors.

On Oct. 1 from 4 to 5 p.m. in suite 8535, attendees were treated to “pinktinis” and appetizers, free gifts, and more. They also heard touching stories from breast cancer survivors. The honored survivor was April Self and Tammy Meddock, who was also nominated to be honored. The event had a pink balloon launch as well.

“We feel like survivors, as well as their families, they have been through so much already,” Kristen Hauer, Tanger Outlets general manager said. “If we can give them a little pampering and some enjoyment, they really deserve it. During the event Mandy McCown spoke to the guests about her story.”

According to Hauer, the mall will also hold Fitness Fair Friday during PinkSTYLE on Friday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can groove to the music and sport favorite pink-colored gear during a Hip Hop Dance class at 11 a.m. on the sidewalk near Maurices. Then learn about breast health while enjoying a delicious light lunch at the “Lunch and Learn” session at noon in Suite 8535 near Maurices.

Guests are encouraged to pick up a FREE Tanger Tote bag in Suite 8535, enjoy a pink photo booth, free bra fittings, and more. And for the event, pick up a PinkSTYLE 25 percent off savings card to do some shopping and support a great cause! The program beneficiary is the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation Women’s Wellness Center and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. During the event, Dr. Cynthia Morris will speak.

Morris, DO, FACC, joined Medical and Surgical Associates in March 2013 and specializes in Gynecology and serves as the medical director of the Women’s Wellness Center.
