Washington Court House Girls Softball announces 2010 registration dates
Plans are well under way for the 2010 season of the Washington Court House Girls Softball Association.
In an effort to ensure that classmates play in the same division, the WCHGSA has decided to operate in three divisions this year. The divisions will be based on the child's current grade in school rather than age on the last day of the previous year. Divisions will be broken down as follows:
Majors / High School - Any young lady currently in grades 8 - 11;
Middles / Middle School - Any young lady currently in grades 5 - 7;
Minors / Elementary School - Any young lady currently in grades 2 - 4.
Please note this is the child's current grade for the 2009-2010 school year.
We welcome any young lady from Fayette or the surrounding counties. The league is open to all young ladies currently in grades 2 - 11.
Registration fees for this season are being kept at $40 for the first child and $30 for each additional child from same household. Deadline for registration is Saturday, April 10, 2010. Registrations received after April 10, 2010 will be accepted, however late registrants will not be guaranteed a roster spot.
Teams will be selected on April 17, 2010. Opening night is tentatively scheduled for May 17, 2010 (Middles and Minors, Majors will begin approximately June 1st). Our goal is have season completed by the 4th of July.
Registrations for the upcoming season will be held on the following dates, times and locations:
Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Carnegie Public Library
Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Carnegie Public Library
Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Carnegie Public Library

The board is also accepting applications for coaches, umpires and sponsors.
