Major Mallow has been an icon of Fayette County's harness racing history for more than a century. The honor is richly deserved because from 1906 through 1912, the gelding pacer seldom finished out of the money when racing in top company on the mile tracks of the Grand Circuit and the leading half-mile tracks of the Eastern and Central States.
