H1N1 clinic announced Two free H1N1 flu clinics have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 5:30pm-7 pm and Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 9am-11am at the Fayette County Health Department. Only those people in the following targeted high-risk categories are eligible for the vaccine at this time:
Pregnant Women
Children 6 months - 24 years old
Healthcare workers-must show work ID
Care givers and parents of infants less than 6 months old
Those individuals 25 - 64 years of age with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, pulmonary disease (including asthma), kidney disease, liver disease, neurological disease and the immunosuppressed. This group does not include those with high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Children under ten years old who have been H1N1 vaccinated, should have a second dose 28 days after the first dose.
