Carnegie Library Presents: Voices from Our Community. In the spirit of innovation, inspiration, and entrepreneurship, Carnegie Public Library is launching a new discussion series featuring big ideas from our small town. Our first featured speaker is Kyler Kelley of Super Sport Barber Shop, Super Sport Pizza, and the new Super Sport Grubb Hub. This event takes place upstairs at the library on Friday, Nov. 8 2019 at 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 7:30. This is a free but ticketed event. Please contact the library at [email protected], or call 740-335-2540 ext 11 to reserve your tickets.

Author Visit: On Friday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m., Patrick Haley, author of The Danes Murders: Lost Innocence in Lees Creek, will speak and then conduct a question and answer session related to the book. Mr. Haley, the sheriff during the investigation of these murders, documented this terrible incident that took place in 1984 in Lees Creek, Ohio.

In Washington Court House: Join Ms. Noel and Mr. Aaron for stories, songs, and activities this fall! Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. is Preschool Storytime. This program is for children 3 – 5 years old, while Thursdays are Books & Blocks, for children 1 – 3 years old. Each week features a new theme! Siblings are welcome at either session.

In Jeffersonville: Toddler Time is back! Tuesdays at 11 a.m., little ones are invited to listen to stories, play instruments, create crafts, and socialize with other little friends at Toddler Time! On Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m., the “Knifty Knitters” group will meet at the library for fun, fellowship, knitting, and crocheting for a good cause. Members make caps for newborn babies and those undergoing chemo. All are welcome!
