Highfields celebrate 60 years

Robert N. Highfield and Linda A. (Frederick) Highfield were married on Sept. 15, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Washington C.H., officiated by Rev. Twining.

Robert chose his brother Jack as his best man and groomsmen were Hugh Wilson and Rodney Acton. Linda chose her cousin, Jane Ann Kier, as her maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mary Lou Highfield (sister of the groom) and Linda Lou Hidy, a friend.

Robert and Linda are the parents of five children: Deborah (Lance) Parker who has a daughter Sarah and lives in Dublin; Pamela Atkinson who has three children; Harry (Jade) Atkinson with daughters Alyvia, Avareigh and Addisynne; Michael (Ashley) Atkinson with children Caleb and Emma and Jacob Atkinson, all of Washington Court House; Robin J. Highfield and Lt. Col. Kevin R. Highfield, USAF, (Ret.), both of Washington, D.C.; and Brian N. (Holly) Highfield and son Austin of Aurora.

The children are honoring their parents with a catered dinner to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
