‘McBreak for Breakfast’ set for this Thursday

McDonald’s of Fayette County and the Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Foundation are again partnering to host the annual “McBreak for Breakfast” this Thursday from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. at the main entrance of the hospital located at 1430 Columbus Ave. in Washington C.H.

Residents are invited to pick up a free bagged breakfast and breast cancer information while supplies last at this drive-thru event. FCMH Foundation Director Whitney Gentry encourages those interested in attending to come early, as “participation has been so strong in the last couple years that we have distributed all the bags within the first hour.”

Donations to the organization’s Partners in Pink fund are welcome, but not expected. The fund provides free diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds for qualifying participants.

The program also provides free support services including wigs, head coverings, yoga, massage, microblading and medication for all Fayette County breast cancer patients and qualifying survivors.

“We greatly appreciate the support from McDonald’s of Fayette County,” said Gentry. “Nick Epifano (owner/operator of McDonald’s of Fayette County) and his team have been steadfast in their dedication to this program and the patients we support.”

To qualify for a free mammogram, patients must not have had a mammogram in the last 12 months and should meet the income guidelines of the program. Please call the FCMH Central Scheduling office at 740-333-2743 to find out more.

For information about the other support services – wigs, microblading, yoga, massage and medication – call the FCMH Foundation office at 740-333-5186.
