First Presbyterian Church supports Cancer Care Clinic

First Presbyterian Church Hope Chest held a spaghetti supper recently and donated the proceeds to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) Foundation for the Cancer Care Clinic.

“This generous gift will cover the cost of blankets for our patients, to keep them warm during their treatments and at home. We will also be able to keep our snack station full for patients and their guests who spend a considerable amount of time in the clinic,” said FCMH Foundation Director Whitney Gentry.

According to Gentry, the Cancer Care Clinic is growing.

“What started out as about eight patients a week is now up to 50 patients a week. It’s very clear this was a crucial need in our community and we are fortunate to have our partners at Adena Cancer Center to help bring this valuable service to Fayette County.”
