Flu vaccines available

Well it is hard to believe but it is that time of the year again. It is time to start thinking about getting your flu shot. Getting an annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu.

Flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctor’s visits, and missed work and school due to the flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations. The more people who get vaccinated, the more people are protected from the flu, including older people, very young children, pregnant women, and people with certain health conditions who are more vulnerable to serious flu complications.

You may get your flu shot at the Fayette County Health Department walk-in clinic on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 4-6 p.m. Starting Monday, Sept. 25 you may walk into the health department any day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for your flu shot. Any questions please call 740-335-5910.
