Country Cooking with Lou Ann: Christmas Salad

0

Hello! This week’s recipe has the title of “Christmas Salad.” Seems odd, since it’s not really a salad, and it’s not just for Christmas!

I found this recipe in an old “farmer’s” cookbook. I make this sometimes as a dessert and sometimes just to go along with a meal.

It does take a spot on my Christmas table and Thanksgiving, Easter…. well you get the picture. It’s easy, quick and OHHH so good.

Christmas Salad

-1 can of Eagle brand milk

-8 oz of cool whip

-1 can (30 oz) black sweet cherries (drained)

-2 small cans of mandarin oranges (drained)

-1 can (15.5 oz) crushed pineapple (drained)

-1 cup miniature marshmallows

First, combine milk and cool whip, then fold in the remaining ingredients.

Next, pour in a bowl, cover and refrigerate. Enjoy!
